Guillén is a Mexican-American writer and United States Air Force veteran currently pursuing an MFA at California College of the Arts. Based in Sonoma County, where she was born and raised, much of her work centers on a liminal identity. Through her lens, she asks what it means to be Mexicana. And a lesbian. With an immigrant father and a first-generation American mother, and a deep connection with her parents' pueblo in Mexico, her life exists between two worlds.
