Absent Man

Without regard to his wife, he destroys her body because she’s been indoctrinated into a society that is male and female, and women must give. Battling the patriarchal society that sees women as sexual beings is endless.

I’ve lost hope to an end.

To gain order and control over the family, there must be a controller: the father. When a woman falls pregnant, it takes two to make life, and yet absent fathers have been given the choice to show or not show themselves in their child’s life. 

During my time in the military, one of my first supervisors was SSgt Thompson, a family man, a humble man, but a man who questioned the abilities of women. His stance was clear, though; he was a proud father, and nothing could take that away from him.

After a couple of years, he was stationed in Germany and eventually found guilty of possessing child pornography.

A loving husband and father, he said, but never showed. His work ethic was focused on work, and never on children. What man-loving family willingly picks the career field that sends you away from your family and puts your life at risk? Is this the betterment of the father?

I give women space for their faults. But many people shouldn’t be parents.
